Located in Central Vietnam, Thanh Hoa is not only a place to keep proud historical and cultural traditions but also a tourist highlight that comes into poetry.
Thanh Hoa is a province in the North of Central Vietnam, 150km from Hanoi. The west of Thanh Hoa borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic, with a 192km border line running through the rugged high mountains. The North borders Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Son La provinces with a 175km boundary. The South borders Nghe An province with a borderline of more than 160km, and the East is the East Sea with a 102km coastline.
With a wide area spreading over many terrains, Thanh Hoa can be likened to a miniature version of Vietnam. The tourist sites in Thanh Hoa are also very diverse with various forms from sea tourism to ecotourism. The Thanh Hoa highland is adjacent to the Northwest so the landscape and culture between these two regions are quite similar. Apart from Sam Son, Hai Tien, and Hai Hoa, currently, there is another popular tourist destination in Thanh Hoa which is Pu Luong. This is a highland village, located in the core zone of Pu Luong nature reserve.
